Bear Lake

The kids and I spent an entire week at Bear Lake. Grandma and Tayler were with us and Jon, Grandpa and Austin joined us for a couple days. We spent a day at the KOA. The jumping pillow was really fun and we enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing at the playground. We spent a couple days on the beach. We went boating with the kids but they didn't enjoy it very much. One morning Jon, Austin and I went boating. Jon and I both went wakeboarding and water skiing. I have never been water skiing before and I tried about five times and then got up. I went a long ways too! It was great. Sorry no pictures of that, forgot the camera. One day we tried the water trampoline. AJ and Ethan were terrrified and we ended up taking them back to shore. Just Tayler and I jumped for a little while. Of course we got yummy shakes. Grandma took the kids to the play "The Hanging of El Bandito" at the Pickleville Playhouse. They loved it. We also enjoyed going to dinner with the whole family. We even had an unexpected guess one evening. A baby bird had flown into the cabin when the door had been left open. It kept trying to go out of a closed window. Eventually it flew out the door. One afternoon the kids just played and played. They had built a slide with a mattress and lots of pillows and blankets. The mattress was propped up against the bunk bed with pads and pillows behind it for support. Then the kids would climb up the bunkbed and slide down in a sleeping bag. Even Jocelyn would scramble up the slide, Tayler would grab her and then send her down the slide. We had a lot of fun and it was a nice vacation.
