So it has been almost two weeks, but I thought I would give an update on Ethan's preschool. If you read an early blog you will know that we were having Ethan attend the CDC for a speech evaluation. The end results were that he is fine for his age. The speech sounds that he is not saying are older sounds (five and six year old sounds). So, neurologically he is not ready to say specific sounds. He did miss a lot of those older sounds though, so he does have a mild articulation disorder. The speech therapist thinks that he will be able to master those sounds as he gets older. So, to sum it up, he did not qualify for their program but they did offer him a spot. We would just pay tuition. So we decided to pull him out of the Co-op and place him at the CDC for two days a week. This way he will continue to get the help and attention that he needs and the tuition is much less (bonus). He is really enjoying preschool and I think cutting back to two days a week has been really good. He now looks forward to going.Thursday, November 13, 2008

That's great news... glad to get an update!
that's way good to hear that he's liking going now!! i just love you kids!!
awesome. i am glad you are an involved and caring mother! ethan is lucky to have a super mom
Ethan sure is a handsome boy. It looks like he's holding a butterfly?!
So glad he's doing well.
The "butterfly" was a cool finger puppet that the photographer used to get the kids attention. Ethan just really liked it and held onto it for a while. I think it's kind of a cool effect.
That's great. Mason qualified for the speech preschool in the Jordan School District to help with both his language and his articulation and it has been great, not to mention very beneficial. Since we qualified we don't pay tuition but I would have regardless. Good luck with your cute boys.
