AJ turned 9 years old on 11-11-11...isn't that the coolest birthday ever? Grandma and Grandpa Peterson came for the weekend to celebrate AJ's birthday with us. It was a good thing they did too because Jocelyn began throwing up Friday night just before AJ's friends arrived for the party. So she was sent downstairs with Grandma.
AJ invited a group of friends over for a birthday party at our house. He came up with all the fun and activities. Here is the nerf gun cake that I made.

The kids divided into groups of two and got to grab a bag full of legos. Their task was to create something original with the legos. They had an allotted amount of time and then I collected their creations. They were lined up on the counter and the kids each had two votes to vote for their favorite...not knowing whose was whose.

Cade and Max won the contest! The kids loved this activity and really got into it.
