In May we went camping with our friends the Jensen's at the Sand Dunes. They are only about an hour away from our home. The trip was doomed from the start though. We got a flat tire on the way down. After we set up camp we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The wind began picking up and it never stopped. All night it was incredibly windy. Our poor tent was slammed again and again that night with strong wind. It didn't let up at all the next day. We still managed to get out and go 4 wheeling. The sand was continually hitting our faces. I only snapped one picture of Jon and Jocelyn on the four wheeler...I was mostly in the trailer the whole time due to the miserable weather. We ended up packing up a day early and going home. We had to replace a tent pole because it was snapped in two. This was also our 11 year wedding anniversary weekend. It was the Jensen's 12 year wedding anniversary. Theirs is just a couple days before ours.
