Ethan was lucky to be able to attend his school Chritmas party this year. He woke up at 3 AM on Wednesday having difficulty breathing. His throat had swollen and his uvula (bobby thing at back of throat) was so large he couldn't close his mouth or swallow his saliva. Jon took him to the ER. They gave him steroid to help with the swelling and pain. It did it's job and he able to breathe normally again. After some testing it was determined that he had a severe case of strep throat. He came home with antibiotics and felt better but was throwing up Wednesday night. We were grateful that our friend Casey was able to come over and help Jon give him a blessing. By Friday Ethan was ready to go back to school and since he was no longer contagious he was able to go and join in on the Christmas festivities.
This year the first and second graders had a big Christmas party together. They had a book exchange and this is the book Ethan got.
I was in charge of the Bingo room and Jocelyn got to go around with the boys participating in the activities.
We stayed for lunch and Jocelyn sat by AJ and I sat by Ethan. AJ was embarrassed that I took a picture so he was covering his face.
