The Frostbite 5K

So the frostbite run is an annual run in Green River that I had never actually heard about until last year. I found a registration form at the rec and decided since I would be running on Saturday anyway that I might as well do a 5K. It was 25 degrees and really cold before we began running. Before we all ran we had to "predict our time". So I predicted 33 minutes. The run was fine some up and down hills. I felt really good running it and even got really warm half way through. After everyone came in and the numbers were in guess who won the "predict your time"??? ME!!!!!!!!! I came within 4 seconds of my predicted time. So I guessed the best and then they also had a second winner. We each got a neat plaque and they took our picture for the paper. So I didn't place in my age group, but I did get the best prize. Pretty cool huh? Thanks to Heidi and Casey who watched AJ and Joc while Ethan and Jon were fishing. I also took a very much needed nap today. Thursday I had a girls night and we watched My Sister's Keeper. That was a late night. Then on Friday I co-taught a Zumba class for the first time ever. So much fun, but so much work to prepare. Then today ran a race...so I was in dire need of more sleep.
